Baitul Hilal Complex

Baitul Hilal Complex (Telok Kemang Obsevatory) is located in Telok Kemang, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. Telok Kemang Observatory is located in front of Klana Beach Resort Port Dickson, on a promontory with a broad view of the western horizon, an area of about 3 acres overlooking the Straits of Malacca.

Telok Kemang Observatory is an education destination astronomy which under the supervision of the State Islamic Religious Council (MAINS) and is responsible for ensuring that the science of astronomy and space to grow continuously in the community Negeri Sembilan and Malaysia ecspecially for researchers and students interested in astronomy. Establishment of Telok Kemang Observatory also be a stepping stone to the development of astronomy in Malaysia and indirectly put the name Telok Kemang Observatory as an astro-tourism destination. The observatory was opened around 1970 and is well known as a prime location to determine the arrival of Ramadan and Eid every year. The observatory was used as a place to make an observation, study and record any matters relating to the world of astronomy that is happening every day.
