Gemini,the twins is a constellation in the northern sky located at the northeast of the Orion and between Taurus and Cancer constellation.It resembles “the twins” with two brightest stars mark as the head of the twins,Castor and Pollux – child of Queen Leda of Sparta.
Gemini constellation can be seen on the night sky starting from January till May.The best viewing is in February and it can be seen in both northern and southern sky.The Pollux star is a red giant star located about 33 light-year away while the Castor around 51 light-year away.Gemini is the radiant point for Geminids meteor shower,occur every year in mid December.
